INFIRMARY ROOM now under construction to cater inmates with illness to isolate them from other detainee in order to prevent spread outbreak of any disease.

JUVENILE JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION DIALOGUE held at Ciudad Fernandino Hotel and Restaurant at Urdaneta City last 18 October 2006. This dialogue focussed on the implementation of RA 9344 "JUVENILE JUSTICE AND WELFARE ACT of 2006"; some issues and concerns. Said dialogue was sponsored by the DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT Regional Office I which was attended by concerned government agencies including this institution.

Inmates of Urdaneta District Jail tries their creativeness thru their present livelihood programs such as BIRD CAGES AND DRIFT WOOD DESIGNS (ORCHIDS HANGERS)

A GOOD AND FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE

Just recently, students of the Pangasinan Colleges of Science and Technology (PCST) Urdaneta City has conducted interview among the inmates of Urdaneta District Jail in connection with their case study in General Psychology. These students, were given enough security, during their visit. But the very essence that these students have choosen this jail to visit without fear, is enough to say that, they feel safe- THEY FEEL THE GOOD AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT OF THIS INSTITUTION.

SECURITY

PARANG TOTOO.. LOOKS LIKE A MOVIE?! Joint elements of the PNP SWAT, BFP and the BJMP (DILG's TRI-BUREAU), Urdaneta City have conducted emergency drills inside the District Jail. This activities will make all personnel aware and ready of any incident that may occur in the future and to ensure that the 1999 incident of escape in this institution will not be repeated anymore.

ADDITIONAL DETENTION CELL FOR MINOR FUNDED BY THE LGU

The Energetic and Full-of-understanding Mayor of Urdaneta City, HON. AMADEO R. PEREZ, JR., have approved and funded the construction of an Additional Detention Cell for Minor Offender which will be located at the second floor of the newly constructed and now operational Female Detention Cell. Construction materials was presently being delivered to the Urdaneta District Jail
to immediately start the said project.
These project will surely ease the present
congestion being suffered by the said jail. Especially
the minor offenders

GOOD SAMARITANS

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology- Urdaneta District Jail really needs good samaritans, among them were:
THE ROTARY CLUB OF METRO PANGASINAN MILLENIUM led by MR. FRANK UDO KABITZKE who has a big heart when it comes to charity works. They recently conducted MEDICAL/DENTAL MISSION and donated medicines among the detainees of this Jail. The students and faculties of the CITY COLLEGE OF URDANETA, also have unselfishly shared their blessing with our less fortunate brothers and sisters behind bars. They donated groceries and other personal needs.
