In connection with the NATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS PROGRAM of the government, the Bureau of Jail Management & Penology (Urdaneta District Jail) was invited and attended a STAKEHOLDER'S MTG and SIGNING OF MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT through the TB-DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment SHort-course) last 22 June 2007 at Region 1 Medical Center @ Dagupan City. The signing of MOA signifies the support of the BJMP Urdaneta City to the programs vision- TB free COMMUNITY, COUNTRY & WORLD. This will give the jail a direct communication to TB-DOTS centers, to request for FREE examination & TREATMENT for our inmates who were suspected to have the disease. This way we can prevent spread & be assured of the good health of Our clients.DR. EDWIN V. MONIS, Chief, Health Operation Div of DOH Region 1 and also the Medical Coordinator of PRIVATE PUBLIC MIX DOTS (PPMD) presided the meeting.
