RECHARGED SPORTS ACTIVITIES



Knowing the importance of SPORTS in maintaining the inmate's health, CHIEF INSPECTOR CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, District Jail Warden of Urdaneta District Jail orders the rehabilitation of the BASKETBALL board and other sports equipments in jail.
Above photo: The Table Tennis Set (PING PONG) issued by the BJMP REGION I headed by SR SUPT ALFREDO D SOLIBA JR, Regional Director, was now being enjoyed not only by the inmates but by BJMP PERSONNEL as well. A Chess Set was also issued and was being played inside the Inmates cell. "SALAMAT PO" the shout of Urdaneta Jail inmates and personnel to their BELOVED REGIONAL DIRECTOR with ITS HARD WORKING STAFF.

LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMS plus BEAUTIFICATION


To be able to make all the corners of the Urdaneta District Jail's, CHIEF INSPECTOR CLARENCE E MAYANGAO initiates the planting of vegetables in every possible area inside the jail's perimeter. Not only it provides vegetables for consumtion of detainees but an added lovely sight to the jail's NEW LOOK.

JAIL'S NEW LOOK


Continuous improvement on jail's look were being undertaken. This is a Part of the Jail's program on beautification for a much conducive and secured jail for rehabilition. Photo shows the cementing of the back portion of the jail. Also in the photo is SR INSP THOMAS BEGNAEN, Deputy District Wraden of UDj supervising the project.

PREPARING FOR THE RAINY SEASON


Urdaneta District Jail's perrenial problem is its drainage system. During rainy season this jail looks like a swimming pool. BUT SOME SOLUTIONS WERE BEING DONE to adress this kind of problem- SOME CONCRETE DRAINAGE TUBES were installed at the back portion of the jail and a WATER PUMP was ready for use to suck out water out of the jail.

URDANETA CITY UNIVERSITY VISITS THE JAIL


Several Graduating students of the Urdaneta City University conducts interview among the inmates of Urdaneta District Jail as part of their school's curriculum. These educational visits were permitted as a civic form of contribution of this institution to the youth of today. Contributing to the growth and knowledge of the youth is an uncomparable accomplishment for the BJMP Urdaneta City. The UCU is also a regular sponsor of the jail's programs & projects.(in the Photo were Students of Urdaneta City University with selected inmates at the Administrative Office)

OPERATION "GREYHOUND"



The Urdaneta District Jail, as part of their program to maintain peace & harmony; to create a new image- in and out of the jail, but inside its perimeter, conducts frequent "GREYHOUND", a thorough search on inmates cells and belongings for possible concealing of contrabands. This was conducted twice a month or as frequent as 4 x a month, if the case warrants. (in the Photo is J/Sr Insp Thomas S Begnaen, the institution's Deputy Jail Warden and his staff)

THE RIGHT TO PRACTICE RELIGIOUS BELIEF


Our Muslim Brothers during one of their prayer time at the Multi-purpose Hall at Urdaneta District Jail. J/Chief Inspector Clarence E Mayangao have been very scrupulous in giving on inmates' rights especially with regards to the "RIGHT TO PRACTICE RELIGIOUS BELIEFS AND MORAL PRECEPTS.
