MASS FOR THE 13TH NATL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WK






WHAY IS MORE DELIGHTING TO KNOW- BUT TO DEDICATE AND ASK GOD TO BLESS THE WEEK-LONG CELEBRATION. Fr. ABET VIERNES of the Parish of Immaculate Conception of Urdaneta City officiated the celebration of the HOLY MASS which was assisted by the Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI)led by SIS AURORA MANANGAN and SIS GINA MARIE DAVID of Catholic Women's League (CWL) with their respective members.

13TH NATIONAL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK with this years theme "Healing and Restoring Hope and Dignity to the Community" was officially opened thru a simple and humble PROGRAM with the Mayor of Urdaneta City- HON. AMADEO R PEREZ JR ang SSUPT ALFREDO D SOLIBA JR as its GUEST OF HONOR AND SPEAKER and SPECIAL GUESTS, resp. The week-long celebration from 22- 28 October 2007 which caters many events such as SPORT FESTIVAL, FAMILY DAY, etc.

PRIOR TO THE PROGRAM, THE GUEST OF HONOR AND SPEAKER HON. MAYOR AMADEO R PEREZ JR AND COUNCILOR ROSARY GRACIA PEREZ WAS INTERVIEWED BY MR. RENE PALISOC OF AKSYON RADYO.PRESENT DURING THE INTERVIEW WERE SSUPT ALFREDO D SOLIBA JR, BJMP 1 REGIONAL DIRECTOR, CINSP CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, DISTRICT JAIL WARDEN, SINSP THELMA ANDRES, CHIEF HRRM OF RBJMP1

MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSION
DR. BERNARDO MACARAEG, Chief of City Health Office of Urdaneta City and DR. SOJIH NAVALTA and DRA.IVEE ALAPOT headed the FREE MEDICAL & DENTAL MISSION inside the jail with almost 70 inmates have benefitted.

3rd day - NATL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WK






PARALEGAL DAY
IN THIS EVENTS, INMATES WERE GIVEN A CHANCE TO MEET THE PUBLIC ATTORNEYS OFFICE, PAROLE AND PROBATION OFFICE AND THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT.
QUESTIONS REGARDING THEIR CASES AND RIGHTS WERE PERSONALLY ANSWERED BY THEIR LAWYERS. THE DSWD ALSO INTERVIEWED MINOR OFFENDERS AND PROMISES TO EXTENDASSISTANCE.

3rd day - NATL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WK



COUNSELLING
CINSP CLARENCE MAYANGAO, DISTRICT JAIL WARDEN OF URDANETA DISTRICT JAIL, MEETS THE DETAINEES. A usual sight in this jail wherein CINSP C MAYANGAO conduct forum/dialogue with the inmates to reach out and discussed their problems; and/or how we could possibly cooperate with each other to attain the BUREAUs Goal- THE REHABILITATION OF INMATES. Isn't a picture of Father & Son?

SPORTS FESTIVAL DAY:
TO PROMOTE FRIENDSHIP AND THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING HEALTHY, VARIOUS SPORT EVENTS WERE CATERED TO THE INMATES IN THIS WEEK-LONG CELEBRATION SUCH AS: BASKETBALL, VOLLEYBALL, BADMINTON, CHESS AND DAMMA.
HAPPY & JOYFUL SMILES WERE FLASHED IN THE FACES OF OUR DETAINEES DURING THE TOURNAMENTS.

5th DAY NATL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WK





RELIGIOUS AND LIVELIHOOD DAY
Ptr. BING NAVARRO and members of the GOSPEL IN ACTION MINISTRY conducted a Water Baptismal Rites inside the UDJ. Nothing is impossible if it is God'sWill. With the use of a Plastic Drum, around 100 inmates were baptized. Afterwhich, Ptr.Navarro introduced a project- "Flower Making" project to the inmates but requires a 4 meetings seminar to be conducted in this jail this 2nd wk of November. Surely inmates of UDJ will benefit from this project.

6th day NATL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WK






FAMILY DAY. The most awaited time of the week-long celebration. INMATES AND THEIR FAMILIES were entertained BY GOSPEL MUSICS performed by a Christian Band of the Asingan Ministerial Fellowship led by Ptrs. LEON SUPSUP and JAIME CASIO. Foods and gifts courtesy of the said Religious Group were distributed. In the afternoon various PARLOR GAMES were were played. IT WAS A VERY JOYOUS DAY, both to the INMATES AND THEIR FAMILIES.

7th DAY NATL CORRECTIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS WEEK




DANCE COMPETITION.
All the 12 cells of the Urdaneta District Jail were represented by dance group in this TALENT SHOWDOWN. Inmates were full of energy and inspired when they perform their incredible talents in dancing.
