ARE YOU IN OR OUT? BJMP-UC SUPPORTS NATIONAL CENSUS MONTH





AUGUST WAS THE NATIONAL CENSUS MONTH AND IN THIS CONNECTION THE NATIONAL STATISTIC OFFICE, URDANETA CITY CONDUCTED CENSUS AMONG THE INMATES OF URDANETA DISTRICT JAIL. FORMS/QUESTIONAIRES WERE DISTRICTBUTED BY MDM. LOTLOT A. DELA CRUZ; ANNABELLE E. GUILLERMO & ZITA CASTRES, ALL OF NSO- CENSUS TO QUALIFIED INMATES.

NATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS PROGRAM






THE CITY HEALTH OFFICE IN RELATION TO THE TB-DOTS headed by Dr. Bernardo C. Macaraeg conducted a case finding activity in this jail for Tuberculosis-symptomatic patients last 7 -8 August 2007. This is a Joint program of the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) of the government, the Philippine Coalition Against Tuberculosis (PhilCAT) and the Private Public Mix Dots (PPMD) with the same vision of a “TB-FREE PHILIPPINES”. Members of the Medical Team who visited our jail to show concern to our less-fortunate brothers- and sisters behibnd bars were:

BJMP REGION I CELEBRATES 16TH ANNIVERSARY






BJMP REGION I CELEBRATES ITS 16TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A BANG. THE MOST SUCCESSFUL CELEBRATION WAS THE RESULT OF A VERY CAREFUL PLANNING OF THE 1ST LADY REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF RBJMP I - J/SR SUPT GLORIA SABENIANO-NOCEDO, WHO WAS THE MAIN INGREDIENT IN MAKING THE RBJMP I- THE BEST FROM THE REST, being awarded "THE BEST BJMP REGIONAL OFFICE 07 NATIONWIDE". IT WAS NOT THE ONLY ACHIEVEMENT THE SAID ACTION-WOMAN OF RBJMP I BROUGHT- BUT ALSO, THE ONLY TIME RBJMP1 REGAIN ITS IDENTITY, HAVING RELOCATED ITS OFFICE TO A GOOD WORKING-ATMOSPHERE AND HAVE SOLICITED THE SUPPORT OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVT OF LA UNION FOR A DONATION OF A LOT FOR BUILDING OUR VERY OWN OFFICE- A FIRST IN THE 16 YRS OF BJMP EXISTENCE IN R1.
URDANETA DISTRICT JAIL BAGS THE FOLLOWING AWARDS: "BEST SENIOR OFFICER" given to J/CINSP CLARENCE E MAYANGAO; "BEST SENIOR NON- OFFICER" to SJO2 Jude Arthur A Ferrer; "BEST FEMALE MATRON" to JO3 MARICEL NITURADA; "PARALEGAL OFFICER OF THE YEAR" to JO2 Ronald Wanas; and "BEST IN BOOTH". GUEST OF HONOR DURING THE AWARDING AND THE DAY-LONG CELEBRATION WAS DIRECTOR ARMANDO MACASINAG LLAMASARES, BJMP DIRECTOR.

DIALOGUE: FIVE PILLARS OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM








J/CINSP CLARENCE E MAYANGAO, DISTRICT WARDEN OF URDANETA DISTRICT JAIL ATTENDED THE DIALOGUE ON THE 5 PILLARS OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM LAST 12 JULY 2007 WHICH WAS INITIATED BY THE JUDICIARY SPEARHEADED BY HON. TITA R. VILLARIN, EXECUTIVE JUDGE- REGIONAL TRIAL COURT, URDANETA CITY AND WAS ALSO SPONSORED AND SUPPORTED BY THE LGU. SPEAKERS WERE RTC JUDGES, MAYOR AMADEO R. PEREZ JR & VICE MAYOR JOLLY PARAYNO, MR. MANNY CO, REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THE PAROLE AND PROBATION OFFICE, AND PROSECUTORS DULAY AND LAMONG OF THE CITY PROSECUTORS OFFICE, URDANETA CITY. CHIEF OF POLICE FROM OTHER NEARBY MUNICIPALITIES ALSO WERE PRESENT DURING THE DAY-LONG DIALOGUE WHICH WAS CONSIDERED A SUCCESS IN UPGRADING THE KNOWLEDGE OF EVERY PARTICIPANTS.
